Conditions:

• Pets must be carried in an enclosed pet carrier that is leak-proof and escape-proof.

• Pets weighing less than 6 kg can be taken into the cabin, those heavier than 6kg will be kept in the aircraft hold.

Air Canada

Allows pets: Yes

• Fee for animal in carry-on baggage to international destination: $100 CAD/USD one-way

• Fee for animal checked as baggage to international destination: $270 CAD/USD one-way

Conditions:

• Your pet in its carrier counts as one standard item toward your carry-on baggage allowance

• Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned.

• A customer may not travel with more than one pet in the cabin

Cost: Fees vary based on route. Pets will be charged as overweight baggage

Conditions:

• Animal quarantine certificates and valid certificates for small animals leaving, entering or passing through China should be provided.

• Air China has the right to refuse carriage of any animal that appears wild, dangerous, or pregnant.

• Animals bought onboard have to be in properly ventilated pet carriers.

Air France

Allows pet: Yes

• Flights in metropolitan France: €20

• Other flights: €200

Conditions:

• Your pet must travel in a separate closed container that must meet very specific standards.

• The container must be sufficiently ventilated and enable your animal to stand up and turn around.

• Under no circumstances should your pet leave its container during the flight.

• Your pets travel container is considered an additional baggage item and will incur a fee.

• Dogs and cats weighing more than 6 kg are allowed to travel as checked baggage only.

Air New Zealand

Allows pets: Yes

• Fee for kennel and pets weighing less than 70 lb/32 kg: NZ $50 one way

• Fee for kennel and pets weighing more than 70 lb/32 kg: NZ $75 one way

Conditions:

• Domestic pets, cats, dogs (excluding any transported for profit e.g. racing greyhounds) and small caged birds can travel as checked in baggage

• Air New Zealand can refuse to transport an animal due to illness, aggressive behavior, poor kenneling, or extreme temperatures at origin, transfer, or destination airports.

• The kennel or pet carriers must be properly ventilated and escape proof.

• Each passenger can carry one pet only

Cost: USD $65 one way

Conditions:

• AirTran can refuse to transport an animal due to illness, aggressive behavior or poor kenneling.

• The kennel or pet carrier should not violate 17in x 12in x 8.5in its dimensions or weigh more than 40 lb (with animal inside).

Conditions:

• Pets can travel in the cabin, as checked baggage and can be shipped as cargo.

• Only domesticated and weaned dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and fish are allowed.

• The kennel must be leak and escape proof and properly ventilated.

• Alaska Airlines can refuse to transport an animal due to illness, aggressive behavior, poor kenneling, or unsuitable temperature.

All Nippon Airways

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: The cost will be twice that of excess baggage charge per kennel. It may vary from destination to destination.

Conditions:

• Pets can only be checked in as baggage.

• The kennel or pet carrier must be spacey and properly ventilated.

• Your pet should be provided with sufficient food and water before check-in since your pet cannot be fed during the flight and at transit locations.

Allegiant Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: USD 100 per pet

Conditions:

• The kennel must fit under the front seat and must not exceed 9in x 16in x 19in in dimensions.

• Only domesticated and vaccinated cats and dogs are allowed.

• The pet carrier or kennel must be appropriately ventilated and should be escape proof.

• The pets may only travel as cabin baggage.

American Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Checked pet: $175 USD per kennel

Cabin pet: $125 USD per kennel

Conditions:

• Pets can travel as carry on cabin baggage, checked in baggage and can e shipped as cargo

• Only domesticated, weaned and vaccinated cats and dogs are allowed in the cabin.

Austrian Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Checked in pet: USD 100 one way

Cabin pet: USD 80 one way

Conditions:

• The pet travelling in the aircraft cabin must weigh less than 8 kg, with maximum dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm for easy stowage under the seat.

• Pets can travel as cabin baggage and checked baggage only.

• The kennel/pet carrier must be appropriate in all ways (ventilation, space, security etc)

British Airways

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: Charges differ according to the weight of the pet, dimensions of the pet carrier and the distance of the journey. The charges will be communicated on reconfirmation of your pet travel.

Conditions:

• British Airways can refuse the transport of a pet due to illness, aggressive behavior, poor kenneling, and inappropriate temperatures.

• Animals traveling in the cabin must be properly weaned, domesticated and vaccinated.

• The kennel must be leak and escape proof, properly ventilated and spacey,

• Pets can travel only as checked baggage.

Cathay Pacific

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: The cost will be based on weight size and distance, communicated to you when you make your reservation.

Conditions:

• Pets can be shipped as cargo or checked in as baggage.

• Your pet must be properly domesticated, weaned and vaccinated.

• The kennel must be ventilated, escape proof and leak proof.

China Eastern Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: Excess baggage charges will be assessed on the basis of the total weight of the animal and its container. It will be communicated to you when you register.

Conditions:

• Pets, excluding service dogs are not allowed onboard and may travel as checked in baggage.

• The kennel must be leak and escape proof, properly ventilated and spacey.

• For aircraft safety, China Eastern will not accept fighting dogs for carriage on any of their flights.

China Southern Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: Twice the average rate of oversized baggage.

Conditions:

• Animals can only be shipped as cargo and can not be taken as cabin or checked in baggage.

• You have to sign an agreement for undertaking the risk of animal death.

• The pet must be provided with effective health certificate.

• Dogs trained to help the blind, mute, or deaf can be counted into the baggage allowance.

• Guide dogs are allowed inside the cabin.

• The kennel/pet carrier must be appropriate in all ways (ventilation, space, security etc)

Continental

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: $125 one way (flights within the US)

Conditions:

• For pets in cabin the carrier must fit under the seat and the pet must stay in the carrier at all times while on board.

• A proper health certificated from the veterinarian will be required.

• The pet must be weaned, domesticated and vaccinated.

Delta Air Lines

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: $200 one way (May vary from destination to destination)

Conditions:

• Pets can travel as cabin baggage, checked in baggage and can be shipped as cargo.

• The pets in the cabin must be properly vaccinated hence harmless to the passengers; they should  also have approved pet carriers.

• Delta Air Lines reserves the right to refuse to transport an animal due to illness, aggressive  behavior, poor kenneling, or extreme temperatures at origin, transfer, or destination airports.

Emirates

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: Emirates charges normal excess baggage rates for animals transported as checked baggage. Depending on their weight, size and distance that they travel.

Conditions:

• Pets are not allowed in the cabin and can only travel through cargo or checked in baggage.

• The kennel/pet carrier must be appropriate in all ways (ventilation, space, security etc)

• Guide dogs for the blind are allowed onboard.

Frontier Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: $100 one way

Conditions:

• Pets can only travel as checked in baggage.

• The pet carrier should be spacey, properly ventilated, leak and escape proof.

• Only domesticated and vaccinated pets over the age of 8 weeks are allowed to travel

• Frontier Airlines reserves the right to refuse the carriage of any animal due to specific reasons.

Hawaiian Airlines

Allows pets: Yes

Pets in the passenger cabin: $35 for flights in Hawaii, and $175 for international flights.

Pets traveling as baggage: $60 for flights in Hawaii, and $225 for international flights.

Japan Airlines

Cost: Depends on weight of the animal, size of the kennel and the distance

Conditions:

• Pets should be in a proper, ventilated, spacey, escape and leak proof container.

• JAL allows pets to accompany their owners in the cabin, travel as checked luggage and can be shipped as cargo.

• Pets should be over 8 weeks old, weaned, vaccinated and domesticated

• Bulldogs and French Bulldogs aren’t allowed.

Jetblue

Allows pets: Yes (domesticated cats and dogs only)

Cost: $100 each way

Conditions:

• Pets may only travel in the passenger cabin.

• One pet will count as a separate carry on item

• The pet must be in a appropriately ventilated and spacey carrier and must stay inside the kennel at all times.

• The kennel must not exceed 17″L x 12.5″W x 8″H in dimensions and should weigh less than 9kg.

• The pet must be harmless to the other passengers in all ways.

KLM

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: EUR 200 per way

Conditions:

• KLM allows pets to travel in the passenger cabin, as checked baggage in the hold, or as separate cargo shipments.

• Pets weighing less than 6kg may travel in the passenger cabin

• The kennel/carrier should be properly ventilated, escape and leak proof.

• Pets weighing more than 75kg will be transported via the cargo.

Korean Air

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: Extra amount will be charged regardless of your free baggage.

Conditions:

• Pets can travel in the passenger cabin or as checked baggage

Cost: Pets are not included in the baggage allowance and are counted/charged as excess baggage

Conditions:

• Lufthansa allows pets to travel in the passenger cabin, as checked baggage in the hold, or as separate cargo shipments.

• Pets are allowed inside the cabin only if they respect 55 x 40 x 20 cm in its dimensions.

• The ventilation, security, space and food/water supply should be sufficient.

Norwegian Air Shuttle

Cost: All fees will be charged at the airport on the day of travel

Conditions:

• For pets traveling in the cabin, they should not exceed 43x31x20cm in dimensions and weigh less than 8kg

Cost: Animals that check in are often regarded as excess baggage. Fee has to be paid according to weight, size and distance.

• All animals, excluding falcons must travel as checked in baggage

• Falcons and service dogs can accompany their owners inside the cabin.

Allows pets: Yes

Cost: Over charged as excess baggage depending on weight, size and distance.

Conditions:

• Thai Airways International allows pets to travel in the passenger cabin, as checked baggage, or shipped separately,

• For a pet in the cabin, the kennel should not exceed 55 x 37 x 30 cm in its dimensions and weigh less than 10kg

• Those weighing more than 10kg will be carried as checked baggage.

Turkish Airlines

Virgin Atlantic

Cost: The cost of taking your dog or cat on one of our flights depends on the size of its travel box
